A match ending 0-0 will always place points at a premium but SydneyR superbly predicted the 0-0 which means 15 points for calling no goal scorer or goal time. Whether it was a feeling or a clever gamble it's paid off handsomely for SydneyR
kingfisher, QPRBex and QPRsmith were the only other players to predict a draw
With no goal scorer or first goal time the only other points available were from the bonus match which ended 1-1. kingfisher, onenightfever, ashqpr and stoatey all predicted that exact.
So SydneyR takes 15 points matching the highest score of the season that surrey chad achieved twice. It is a score with a massive impact at the bottom of Division 2. It moves SydneyR up out of the bottom 3, up to 6th and into play off contention joining CutePR and kingfisher on 30 points from 5th to 7th. With kingfisher also scoring a decent 6 points that moves that trio a whopping 11 points clear of the new bottom 3 which I join, dropping 1 place to 8th. It will take some going now for myself, onenightfever or minxymartin to avoid a wooden spoon.
Of the top 5 in the second tier only ashqpr picked up points, scoring 3 to move top of the pile on the back of his 10 bonus points from winning the FA Cup at the weekend. ranger-boy drops to 2nd but there are only 3 points between the top 3 in the race for automatic promotion.
In Division 1 only 3 players scored and even they only scored 3 points. None of the previous top 5 scored so MCM Hoop drops from 5th to 6th trading places with stoatey. It means singlespeed maintains his 4 point lead at the top despite failing to score for just the 2nd time in the last 16 games.
e17hoop forgot to enter in time for the first time that I have on record over 4 seasons and it means QPRBex has closed the gap to 6 points in the battle for safety. QPRsmith also scored 3 but is still 13 points from a position of safety.
Just 5 games left to go but that still means 90 points left to play for so a lot can still change.
