In complete contrast to last week we had virtually all home wins so the scoring was pretty flat.
There was only one draw, Ipswich v Birmingham, and no-one predicted that. There was also one away win, Brighton's thrashing by Bournemouth. No-one predicted that either.
That left 8 home wins and nearly everyone correctly predicted one of them. We had:
6 correct predictions for West Brom beating Preston by kingfisher, kensalr, singlespeed, ashqpr, minxymartin & QPRBex
5 for Burnley beating Cardiff by QPRSmith, qprallan, MCM Hoop, Rosco Bosco & me
4 for Liverpool beating Chelsea by stoatey, surrey chad, SydneyR & LurkR
CutePR got Southampton's win against Wolves and northwesthoop got Villa's win against Bristol City.
No-one predicted Fulham to beat Everton, Reading to beat Brentford or Charlton to beat Luton.
Only ranger-boy missed out, predicting Brighton to beat Bournemouth. This was not an unreasonable prediction but resulted in 0 points and a big hit on goal difference.
Everyone else scored either 2 or 3 points depending on whether or not they played their joker on their correct prediction.
At the top of the table I scored 3 points and both LurkR and MCM Hoop scored 2. That leaves LurkR 2 points ahead of me with MCM Hoop a further 9 points back. Surely MCM Hoop can't make up 11 points on LurkR in the last 3 rounds. So that makes it a two horse race for the title.
singlespeed and northwesthoop are tucked in just behind MCM Hoop in a tight battle for 3rd place. Rosco Bosco, ashqpr, kingfisher and kensalr are also in contention.
The most significant change was at the bottom. QPRSmith scored 2 points to move off the bottom ahead of ranger-boy. surrey chad, sydneyR and stoatey all increased the gap between themselves and the bottom but are still not safe.
Above them savoyhoop failed to enter for the 7th successive week so I guess he has dropped out - a pity as he was doing pretty well, lying in 6th place after week 25.
