Cousins injury looked quite bad and it may be his last game for QPR. After todays performance I also can't see that Pawel or Lynch will get their contract renewed. Lynch is an accident waiting to happen and Pawel is too expensive.
Almost certainly leaving with them will be Hall (too injury prone), Baptiste (no longer good enough), Hamalainen and Owens (neither seems to have progressed and they dont appear good enough).
Of the loans I wouldn't keep either of the strikers as neither scores enough goals. (Wells is an expensive version of Washington and Hemed has one good game in ten). If Cameron could replicate the form of earlier this season then he would be an asset but is he now at an age where he could become injury prone.

Can we afford to renew Bidwell's contract? Would we want to? He is rarely 8/10 level and in 3 years with him playing he hasn't really indicated that he can help the club move forward.
The same can be said of the rest of the out of contract players. I'd rather us try bringing in new faces and see if we are any better off. We may not be, but we only end up 16th to 18th anyway so it is worth the risk.
I don't think we'd be able to keep Wells or Hemed even if we wanted to given the amount of money they were reportedly on (£35k+). Cameron has been too injury prone but has talked about his lack of pre-season games hurting his fitness. Of them all Cameron is the most likely to be here next season.

I'm not sure there is any player at QPR who can claim to be a regular 8/10 player apart from maybe Freeman earlier this season.
If its true that Bidwells salary is the reported £35k/week then there is no way that the club should even consider paying that on a new contract. However, Im sure that Bidwell and the club both know that in the current economic climate there is no Championship club that could afford such a wage.
Left footed defenders are at a premium ( I accept that this doesn't apply to Lynch who has two left feet) and we don't have a replacement for Bidwell as was proven by Manning today.I agree that Bidwell is a steady Eddie but at least we know what we will get.
I would like Bidwell to stay and I'm sure that with a bit of negotiation a deal could be done to keep him at the club.

It's Wells and Hemed on the £35k+ salaries not Bidwell.
I imagine Bidwell is on £10k or something around that mark as when he signed 3 years ago we were paying bigger sums. I imagine we are now trying to operate on the average £5k mark and that could be the sticking point why Bidwell, Cousins and Wszolek are all yet to sign new deals.
I do agree with you that Bidwell is at least reliable. If only we hadn't treated Yun Suk Young so badly he could have been our left back for the last 5 years!
For me we need Bidwell to stay. I agree he is not fast down the wings but his awareness of the game allows him to do better than fitter alternatives, such as Manning, in getting to the ball-player. I would also look at Cameron for another season, but only if he passes a full medical assessment. If Pav Wszolek does turn out to be too expensive then I will be sorry to see him go. He is lacking in confidence at present in terms of taking on players when he has the ball but, given the overall level of confidence in the squad, can you blame him? His benefit to the team is his versatility and his commitment to protect his wing-back. I have lost count of the times he has come back to assist and made crucial tackles/clearances/blocks.
With regard to the rest, sadly I think time is up for Lynch, Hall, Wells, Hemed, Smith, Baptiste, Cousins, Hamalainen and Owens. The sheer number that needs to be replaced is daunting!

It is daunting but I think we need to freshen up the squad quite drastically anyway and it forces our hand to do so. We'll either find some gems or be heading to League 1 but for my money it is a gamble worth taking rather than treading water between 16th and 18th season after season.
If we kept Hall and Cousins and Lynch et al then we are just heading towards more of the same. That is a more daunting prospect than the idea of overhauling the squad which if we get it right could catapult us on to better things.
The guy from Blackburn called dack Was at gillingham last season and has stepped up very well to this league from league one We can find some gems if we have a good look round

Bradley Dack only cost Blackburn £750k and is now being touted as a £20m striker that is wanted by West Ham. He was exactly the type of player we should have signed and you wonder what our so called scouting team have been doing.
There are plenty of good young players in the lower leagues and even some of the more experienced players in there mid 20s are better than what we have. A prime example is Sonny Bradley who is now at Luton, he is a big 6ft 5in imposing centre half that helped get Plymouth get promoted and then left at the end of his contract on a free transfer. He wanted to progress and joined Luton who are now about to join us in the Championship.
If Les and his scouting team were worth their salt they would be looking for exactly this type of player. We don't need anymore Spurs rejects. We need players who can score goals and players that can defend.
We have QPR fans all over the country and in addition to watching QPR many also watch their local league teams and are the best QPR scouts the club could have. If I was Sir Les I would be saying to our fans to send his scouting team details of any players they have seen who look to be good prospect. It seems so logical.
To be fair Connor washington was touted as the next Wayne Rooney He didn’t show us the form he had for Peterborough I think if dack of come to us would he have been as good as he has been at Blackburn We got a couple of gems though, peter crouch spurs reject for 60 grand,Charlie Austin from the lower league I think there is a element of luck too if players succeed at our level

I agree about Conor Washington but he was the greater risk because he cost c.£3m whereas Dack was much less of a risk at only £0.75m. Conor was never a great goal scorer at Peterborough and had a record of around a goal every 3 games. Washington's goal scoring record was just about the same as Nakhi Wells record and whilst both work hard neither Is a prolific goal scorer.
Charlie Austin had scored goals at every club he played for prior to joining us and is an out and out goalscorer. There was never any risk because he had an amazing goal scoring record at both Swindon and Burnley and he was an already proven goal scorer in the Championship.
There are proven goal scorers and proven defenders out there but its important that the club does it's homework first.
As I have indicated above, I also favour shedding some of the older players who are injury-prone or just not that good, but I would introduce a level of caution in removing too many experienced 'heads'. So perhaps the bigger question is: whom should stay?
On another note, up above there has been comments regarding the development for profit Charlie Austin & Peter Crouch but, for some reason, no mention of a better player to have graced the Loftus Road pitch - Raheem Sterling!
