Week 33 was another week with a lot of home wins - this time it was 7 with 1 draw and 2 away wins. Nearly everyone got a home win and nobody got the draw, so it was the away wins that made the difference.
Of the 2 away wins, no-one predicted Rotherham losing to Birmingham but 3 people got Hull's defeat by Sheff Utd: LurkR, kensalr and me.
12 of us correctly predicted Man City to beat Spurs - too many to name check!. kingfisher got Newcastle's win over Southampton, minxymartin got Forest's win over Middlesborough. LurkR and QPRBex got Wycombe's win over Walsall. Only surrey chad missed out, picking West Ham to beat Leicester. That match was in fact the only draw of the week, predicted by no-one.
Top scorers with 5 points were LurkR, kensalr and me.
As a result, LurkR maintains his lead at the top. It's looking like a close finish with 2 rounds to go. I'm 2 points behind with a better goal difference.
MCM Hoop joined the 100+ club this week but remains 3rd, a further 11 points back. It would take a crazy 2 weeks for him to win the competition or even come 2nd, so I think we're safe to say that it's a 2-horse race for the title.
The race for 3rd is quite tight with MCM Hoop, singlespeed, northwesthoop, Rosco Bosco, kensalr and ashqpr separated by only 6 points.
At the bottom, ranger boy forgot to enter so 2 points for QPRSmith increases the gap to 3 points. Just ahead of QPRSmith are surrey chad and SydneyR.
