Win, Lose & Draw - Week 34 - RESULTS

Running this competition is meant to be about picking the matches that will be close and therefore hard to predict. Well I certainly picked close matches this week - 8 of them ended as draws, with only one home win and one away win.
So, not surprisingly, most of us got 2 points for a draw. Only singlespeed played his joker on his draw prediction (Leeds v Villa) for 3 points. CutePR also picked Leeds v Villa. 4 players correctly picked the Man Utd v Chelsea draw: kingfisher, qprallan, Rosco Bosco and QPRBex. ranger-boy and minxymartin got Palace v Everton. QPRSmith and I got Southampton v Bournemouth. northwesthoop and MCM Hoop got Millwall v Stoke. LurkR got Birmingham v Wigan and stoatey got Swansea v Hull. No-one got Brighton v Newcastle. Only 3 players missed out: surrey chad, kensalr and ashqpr.
The home win was Fulham v Cardiff and only Rosco Bosco predicted that. The away win was Watford v Wolves and only CutePR got that.
So Rosco Bosco and CutePR were top scorers with 4 points. Well done both.
The low scoring means virtually no change to the table. In fact the only movement was Rosco Bosco moving ahead of northwesthoop into 5th place.
So, with one week to go, it's still LurkR top. I'm still 2nd, 2 points behind with a better goal difference. The title is between the two of us now. LurkR has led the way ever since week 15 and I've been 2nd for the same time. It would almost be harsh for me to pip him at the post.
It looks like a 4 way battle for 3rd. MCM Hoop currently holds 3rd as he has done for most of the season. But singlespeed is just one point behind with a better goal difference. Rosco Bosco and northwesthoop are a further 2 points back. singlespeed, Rosco Bosco and northwesthoop all hit the 100 point mark this week.
The next 6 players are all closely bunched in the mid-90's and are in with a chance of bringing up their own 100+ scores. This group is kensalr, ashqpr, kingfisher, minxymartin, QPRBex and qprallan.
CutePR is 13th and will almost certainly finish 13th.
stoatey is 14th and safe from any chance of the wooden spoon.
That looks to be a 5 way battle. ranger-boy will need a good week to escape bottom spot. He has 70 points. QPRSmith is 3 ahead on 73 with a better goal difference. surrey chad is on 74, SydneyR on 75 and savoyhoop on 76 (in spite of missing the last 9 weeks).
