I have no time for TF and RG because they have mismanaged the club from their day one. However, I totally believe that Amit Bhatia has this clubs best interests at heart and he knows that it will take some time to restore QPR back to a team that can challenge for promotion and compete in buying a better class of player.
Amit would have sat with Warburton at the start of this his first season and they would have agreed a realistic finishing target which I suspect is around 60 points and would guarantee a bottom half place but safe from relegation. If that was the case then we are on line to achieve that figure and there is no need to panic. I don't like the fact that Warburton can be stubborn and likes to mix the team around a lot but some of this is dictated by injuries and a lack of experienced players.
It's ridiculous to be considering getting rid of Warburton at this stage of the season. The majority of fans got carried away by our start which could never continue with the squad that we have.
The chalĺenge for Warburton is levelling out the peaks and troughs and ensuring we get decent results against the middle and bottom teams. Going forward he knows we need a leader and a dominant central defender, ideally we need a few leaders and at least 2 decent central defenders.
I might complain about some of his team set ups but he deserves another couple of transfer windows to change things. Changing managers every season is both financially stupid and does nothing to achieve a settled team.
