Warburton now after another one of his old boys on a loan deal from Villa. Scott Hogan is not expected to get any game time at Villa and we are looking to take him on loan.
He had a good goal scoring record at Brentford under Dean Smith and if Warburton could get him scoring again he could be prolific.
My concern is that Warburton is considering only players he knows from when they played for him seasons ago. What has happened to the DoF, CEO and Chief Scout providing a list that focuses upon quality players in needed positions that are available for a good price?

The fact that Warburton only wants to sign players he has worked with means we are very limited on being able to sign quality players. In the past Hogan was a very good player at Brentford but hasn't played much since he signed for Villa and his goal against Shrewsbury was his first since April 2018.
The suggestion is that Villa will let him go on loan if they can sign Neal Maupay from Brentford.
Les was a top player and for those of us who saw him play at QPR he was a hero. Unfortunately, his image is now tainted because the position he holds is no more than a front and he can't see that he was appointed to deflect any flak from the guy who has messed up the club since taking over.
Lee Hoos controls the club on a day to day basis but he still has to get permission from Amit and the board before decisions are made and the fact that Warburton is Amit's man means he can bypass both Les and Hoos to sign or sell whoever he wants.
