Only 20yo and whilst he never appeared for the Liverpoolfirst team he was on their bench a couple of times. He signed for Liverpool on his 16th birthday and cost them £900k. He was due to tour America with the Liverpool squad last year but got an injury that kept him on the sidelines for 10 weeks.
One for the future but if he does the business in the Development team then he could be chasing a place in the first team.

Exactly! Warburton is quoted on the club website as saying:
“If they are good enough, I’ll play them – I don’t care if they are 17 or 37, it’s about being good enough and having that desire to play for QPR.”
No creativity with Luke Freeman going we’re pretty much buggered
Overreaction at this stage, it is still a month until the season starts and we are clearly busy in the transfer market.
Now we have the Freeman money that gives us a lot more possibilities.
If come the first game of the season the squad is still as it is today I'd agree with you - but it won't be.

Regarding Masterson he hasn't been announced as an U23 signing like a lad last week so I think he will be in the first team picture, just as back up to begin with.

We defensively look pretty sound and have depth now Midfield is looking ok defensively but not so much creative yet Up front we are very short and can we find a 15 goal a season striker There’s plenty of hungry players out there and warburton maybe has hopefully held back until funds were available and now Luke has gone we have funds to buy a quality forward Can we find a billy sharp type player or get somebody like pukki who Norwich snapped up from abroad They got him on a free transfer too

I'm warming to Warburton all the time, thats exactly as we would want , if he can now get us that elusive striker I might say something nice about him.

I like the competition for places scenario that we are now starting to see develop. It will be very interesting to watch our pre season games and see how we line up and play but with all these youngsters there should be plenty of energy.
As fans its going to be imortant that we dont get too frustrated if we lose a few games early on because it's going to take a bit of time for a lot of these players to gel. Warburton will hopefully add a striker to this team and when we kick off away to Stoke it's highly likely that more than half the players will be playing a competitive game together for the first time.

Good point about being patient, but probably better directed towards the Directors!
The club are looking to get Masterson out on loan in January. If we are not going to give him a chance in the first team this seems to be the right move . Hopefully he gets a good club where he can get some decent experience.

Totally agree! He needs to be a regular first-team player. The U23s are, after all, a development side; and masterson now needs to hone his skills & experience. I just hope he finds the right club that is managed well and is prepared to give him lots of starts!
He cost Liverpool £900k when he was 16 and you can see why.
His reading of the game, composure and use of the ball are all top quality.
He will only get better with more games, I am genuinely very excited to see more.
We haven't conceded since he came on at half time last week!
He was outstanding today and it's strange to think that Warburton didn't give him a chance when he was messing about playing Wallace and Cameron in the centre back role.
Nobody can ever predict what Warburton will do but surely he won't send him out on loan, will he?
