We have signed a striker from Brighton on a seasons loan.
He is 20yo, Slovenian who is 6ft tall. Brighton signed him from Maribor in January 2019 and immediately loaned him back. In total he played 38 games for Maribor and scored 16 goals.
No surprise that he has links to Warburton via David Weir, Warburton’s former No 2 at Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Rangers, who is believed to have recommended the young striker to the Rs boss.

I'd rather sign a striker on loan of this age than the likes of Wells and Hemed. He HAS to perform otherwise he will see his career start to flop. Older players on loan have nothing to prove and can just collect the cash and return to their clubs knowing that their 'name' will get them another move in the future.
Brighton wouldn't have signed him for the top tier without a lot of confidence in him. Part of their plan was obviously to keep him at his original club last season then give him a season a level below themselves before stepping up to their level. So if he wants to carry on that plan he will need a good season in hoops so I am optimist.
The concern is he has never played in England but we just need to give him time if he has a slow start and hope he can keep knocking in the goals at a rate of nearly a goal every other game!
If this kid starts well there will be no stopping him But normally our strikers don’t perform when with us But I agree that being a young striker is better than Hemed was last season Hemed was a bit lazy in my opinion and a bit past it

Delighted of course to (finally) have secured a striker, and his goals v appearances stat is good, but we should remember that he needs to adapt to the more physical and faster Championship sides. Happier now though!
