QPR Prediction Cup - League Cup 2019/20 - Round 1 - Results

Here are the results from Round 1 of our League Cup knockout prediction cup for 2019/20:
We surprisingly only had 16 entrants with Rosco Bosco , @singlespeed , qprallan , onenightfever and SydneyR all forgetting to enter, so it means only 12 players make it through to Round 2.
In Match 1 QPRBex was the only player to go for a draw in the QPR match
Ghost (Chair) along with ashqpr and myself (Wells) got a back up point for our predicted first scorers bagging a goal at any time
Only e17hoop got the early goal time for Match 1
In Match 2 qprcammitch - making his first cup appearance - nailed the 0-1 Stoke away win for the full 6 points, as did ranger-boy. Well done both. kingfisher, MCM Hoop, QPRBex, myself and ashqpr also predicted the Stoke win
surrey chad and minxymartin got the early goal time
Match 3 saw Wimbledon and MK Dons draw 2-2 which LurkR and minxymartin predicted exactly in a super call. ranger-boy also predicted the draw (he even predicted MK Dons would win on penalties but that doesn't count!

In Match 4 Shrewsbury were battered 4-0 at home to Rotherham which nobody called. qprcammitch was closest going for 3-0 Rotherham so he gets 3 points along with LurkR, stoatey, MaxQPR, ashqpr, MCM Hoop, QPRBex and surrey chad.
There were only 7 bookings across the 4 matches and elimination did come down to goal difference...
stoatey, kingfisher and QPRsmith all scored just 3 points and only 1 could survive and that was stoatey who predicted the 7 bookings! So kingfisher and QPRsmith exit stage left along with Ghost and CutePR who picked up just 1 and zero points respectively. Ghost and CutePR in particular are having a miserable start to the season with both yet to score in the main league either.
minxymartin was the top scorer with 12 points with LurkR, qprcammitch and QPRBex (reigning League Cup champion) all on 10 and safely through.
Here is how Round 1 shaped up showing those eliminated:
Round 2
In Round 2 position 1 plays 12, 2 plays 11, 3 plays 10 and so on illustrating no fixing of the draw and the higher placed players benefit by playing a lower ranked player (on paper!). It is all head to head battles from here on in!
That leaves us with the following Round 2 line up with 12 players still in with a chance of getting 10 bonus points for the QPR Prediction League:
Tie 1: minxymartin Vs stoatey
Tie 2: LurkR Vs northwesthoop
Tie 3: qprcammitch Vs e17hoop
Tie 4: QPRBex Vs MaxQPR
Tie 5: ranger-boy Vs surrey chad
Tie 6: MCM Hoop Vs ashqpr
The points all reset to zero. Round 1 score and GD only come into play going forward if there is no separating the players in the next round.
Round 2 is in just 2 weeks time and will be open for entries tomorrow.
