Firstly, thank you to everybody who entered Dream R's for 2019/20. It is much appreciated whether you are an old or new member of the site. We have the most players yet in our 3rd edition of the game with 43 players submitting teams.
We had 33 players (77%) playing 4-3-3 and only 10 opting for 4-4-2. This is a big increase from last season when 4-3-3 was still the most popular but only with 57%.
Ilias Chair was the most selected player with 91% of players (39) choosing him. Last season he had the same value but was only chosen in 26% of squads.
2nd most popular pick was Ryan Manning (81%) with Joe Lumley 3rd (79%)
In the choice of goalkeepers 34 players went for Lumley and 7 went for Kelly. 2 others (CutePR and jalfrezi) went a different route choosing Brzozowski.
In other interesting selections Leistner and Wallace both cost 3 points and perhaps surprisingly Wallace was selected 17 times despite being yet to kick a ball for QPR whilst Leistner was only picked 8 times (down 26 from last season).
Marc Pugh was only picked in 5 squads and Jan Mlakar just once. The players they shared their values with (Osayi-Samuel and Wells) were both picked 27 times in comparison!
Bansal-McNulty, Barnes, Bettache, Dieng, Owens and Walker all failed to make it in to a single team.
Here are the full selection stats:
We've now had 3 matches take place since the entry deadline so let's see how things have shaped up in the early stages...
With Amos and Cameron both missing all 3 matches and the likes of Ball and Leistner coming into the side as Osayi-Samuel and Kane drop to the bench it has perhaps changed what some may have expected.
Our first leader is new member chache1 whose side "Chache XI" have amassed 208.7 points in 3 games, just ahead of WetherbyHoop46. charlieqpr completes the top 3, ahead of jimjams on goal difference. tonka rounds out the top 5.
At the bottom robcnelson86's side "Cryptonite" are dead last with just 107 points so far. alicehoop is just ahead then there is already a big gap up to daveb who completes the bottom 3.
hendo, SydneyR, CutePR, myself and kensalr are other early strugglers.
QPR only play 3 games in the whole of September (after 8 games in August which is odd) so I'll do another update at the end of the month.
Here is the opening Dream R's table for 2019/20:
