Time for the first update in our new home! Thank you all for taking part as always, hopefully it will be another cracking season of the Prediction Competition.
We welcome new players rangersgrant23, zantor and stoatey!
It was a season that certainly started well for QPR yesterday but it was a win only predicted by pamment8, new boy rangersgrant23, ashqpr, SydneyR and minxymartin but of them only pamment8 went for 2-0, well done pamment8.
QPRsmith, SydneyR, QPRBex and ashqpr went for Washington as first scorer so they each bag 6 points
LurkR, CutePR, SydneyR and MCM Hoop got the 16-30 goal time
pamment8, singlespeed, minxymartin, SydneyR, e17hoop and LurkR got the bonus match 1-1 draw exact
You'll notice a recurring name there - SydneyR had a fantastic start to the season and was only 1 goal away from the maximum 18 point score having gone for 1-0! It is SydneyR's highest score since 2013/14 and we only had 1 15 point score all of last season so it really is some start!
pamment8 started last season strongly before fading away and this season has started in similar fashion, 9 points put pamment8 3rd behind ashqpr owing to ashqpr getting the first scorer.
kingfishers poor goal difference puts him bottom but it means little at this stage and 9 players failed to score points. SydneyR will already feel a long way away!
Please do keep a track/look over your own scores when you can, I am only human after all! Any errors please raise them!
We have a slightly new look table this season that will enable you to trace your form as the season progresses.
The order is determined first by total score obviously, if that is level goal difference is next (lower = better), if that is level the highest score you managed in an individual match is next, followed by the amount of times you got the first scorer.
After all of those at the moment alphabetical order is also having an effect but this should have no requirement as the season progresses and the points flow.
On the new look table 'HS' is your highest score and 'First S' is how many times you've got the first scorer.
Here is the table - if you cannot view it please let me know - it should also be below as an attachment that you can click on to expand which makes it easier to read anyway then just click back in your browser to return to this page.
Thanks for playing and here's to an enjoyable next 45 games ahead!
