I could not see a good fit for this type of news, so I created a new thread (if there is somewhere better northwesthoop then do please move the post)! The following from the QPR site:

Conor Masterson netted the winner for Republic of Ireland U21s in their victory over Sweden on Tuesday evening.
The victory made it three wins from three games in U21 European Championship qualifying for the Young Boys In Green, who will next face Italy in October.
Tuesday’s clash was locked a 1-1 before Masterson headed home to put his team in front on 87 minutes. Troy Parrot then made the result safe by netting a third on 92 minutes.

England U21s beat Kosovo U21s 2-0 on Monday night thanks to Phil Foden’s double. Ebere Eze was an unused substitute for the clash.

Matt Smith’s Wales beat Belarus 1-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium on Monday night. Smith was an unused substitute for the game.

Northern Ireland put in a spirited display against Germany on Monday night but were unable to prevent themselves falling to a 2-0 defeat. Paul Smyth missed the match through injury.

Stephen Duke-McKenna played the final 30 minutes as Guyana were beaten 4-0 by Jamaica on Tuesday.

Wells seems a different player this season on and off the pitch. He looks a lot more motivated. I think last season he saw us as a chance to prove Burnley wrong and he gave up once things went badly.

This season he seems different, like he wants to prove to QPR fans what a good player he is. Certainly a different motivation is reaping the benefits so far.

Perhaps knowing he is out of contract this summer means he is also playing for a permanent deal next summer.

Early days but I hope you're right. Also, the Warburton way of playing seems to suit him.

Wells always seems to do best when he plays as part of a front two and he likes playing off a bigger more physical type player. In the past he has developed partnerships with players like Frankie Bunn and James Hanson who were your big front men that were strong in the air and Wells could feed off their knock downs.

If you play Wells as a lone striker he will work hard but it negates his threat as a goal scorer. Last season we set up not to concede rather than to attack and as a result Wells ran around a lot but wasn't scoring the goals that we all hoped for. This season when he has played alongside Hugill he has been better because it takes the pressure off him.

I think McClaren had done his homework and knew that Wells was better in a front two but unfortunately it didnt work with Hemed.

Warburton's attacking style is much more to Wells liking but his preference has been to play 4-2-3-1 rather than the 4-4-2 that Wells would prefer.

There has been a large media response to Lee Hoos (commendable) outburst re an U18s match played by QPR in Andalucuia, Spain that had to be abandoned because of racism. This was in August and Hoos is mad that, 10 weeks later, there has been no real acknowledgement or ownership of the issue from either FIFA & EUFA (both passing the buck). It took action from the FA chairman to even get FIFA to admit they knew about this. The UK has its share of racists (such as happened at Brighton and at Haringey), but the footballing bodies and courts are trying to stamp it out. Sadly in other countries racism is not pursued vigorously or, in some cases, not at all. The article below is typical of others:

I could not find an appropriate thread already, but I know northwesthoop will find one if I am wrong!

Following from the club website:

NIKO Hamalainen has been named in the senior Finland squad for their three upcoming November internationals.
The Fins will take on world champions France in Paris on Wednesday 11th November, before facing a pair of Nations League encounters against Bulgaria and Wales.
They will travel to Sofia on Sunday 15th November and will then head to Cardiff on Wednesday 18th November. Finland are currently second in League B Group 4, having won three of their opening four games.

Lyndon Dykes is again in the Scotland squad for their three games this month. First up is their crucial UEFA Euro 2021 play-off clash against Serbia at Rajko Mitic Stadium on Thursday 12th November. They then face two Nations League fixtures against Slovakia and Israel, both away from home, and Dykes is suspended for the first of those two games, having accumulated one yellow card too many in October.

Osman Kakay has been named in the Sierra Leone squad for their African Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Nigeria. The first match – on Friday 13th November – will be contested at Ogbe Stadium in Benin, with the second – on Tuesday 17th November – being hosted at Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.

Macauley Bonne could also be in African Cup of Nations qualifying action over the next couple of weeks. He is in the Zimbabwe squad for their two games against Algeria on Thursday 12th November and Monday 16th November.
Zimbabwe are currently second in qualifying Group H having won one and drawn one of their opening two matches.

At U21 level, Amrit Bansal-McNulty – who is currently out on loan at Italian club Como 1907 – is in the Northern Ireland squad. They face Ukraine in U21 Euro qualifying in Kiev on Thursday 17th November.

Am I the only one breathing a sigh of relief that Lyndon Dykes will not be forced to play three internationals in only a few days...?
