We are in to the second half of Phase 1 now already with 8 games gone and it was another week with some big scores and big movers in the tables!
The R's of course ran out 2-1 winners which was expertly predicted in fine style by (deep breath) stoatey, kingfisher, qprallan, surrey chad, Ghost, LurkR, ashqpr, QPRBex, MaxQPR, MCM Hoop, SydneyR, minxymartin and qprcammitch (I should have named those who failed to predict it!!)
Wells was the first scorer which stoatey, surrey chad, QPRBex and MCM Hoop all got for a superb 6 points!
onenightfever was the only player who got the 46-60 first goal time whilst nobody got more than a single point as Bristol City and Swansea drew 0-0 in the bonus match.
Overall we had 4 players each scoring 13 points which doesn't happen often and they were all from Division 1 - MCM Hoop, stoatey, QPRBex and surrey chad. Surrey chad scores 13 for the second consecutive match which is particularly impressive and even rarer!
3 of that trio (MCM Hoop, surrey chad and stoatey now sit 2nd, 3rd and 4th behind leader LurkR. The other QPRBex moves off not only off the bottom but also out of the drop zone! That drops singlespeed into the drop zone who joins ranger-boy and e17hoop in the bottom 3.
Rosco Bosco drops all the way from 2nd to 7th. Rosco was the leader after Match 5 but a poor 3 rounds have been very costly. He does at least have a 5 point buffer over the bottom 3.
In Division 2 we have a new front-runner for promotion with Mr Consistent kingfisher (the only player to score in every game) rising to 1st place. SydneyR is up to 2nd after 3 good scores in a row now. Previous leader QPRsmith drops to 3rd but at least stays in the promotion places.
MaxQPR rises 3 places to 4th trading places with me as I drop to 7th. ashqpr is out of the bottom 3 and up to 5th with CutePR sliding all the way from 5th to the bottom of the pile! minxymartin is the player she replaces at the bottom.
There are only 6 points between 8 players between 3rd and the bottom so the promotion race looks like a fierce contest right now!
Don't forget if you are still in the League Cup you need to enter NOW as the matches are coming in midweek!
