So we are about a quarter of the way through the season and as we hit the international break I thought it was worth a bigger update that asks some questions about the season ahead...
The win against Blackburn - our first win against them for 20 years - moves us back up 2 places to 9th.
We are just 1 point outside the top 6 and only 3 points off the top. Our current 19 points would have been good enough for 5th place this time last season and 7th place in the 3 seasons prior to that.
No team in the division has won more than 6 of their opening 11 games - QPR are one of those sides to achieve that.
Our 4 defeats have all come against teams currently in the top half of the table (1st, 4th, 6th, 11th)
Our next 3 games to round out October are against the teams currently sitting 16th, 17th and 22nd.
For all our improvements our 19 goals conceded is 1 more than we had conceded at this stage last season (when we had only scored 8 compared to 18 this season).
We are 6 points and 8 places better off than after 11 games last season.
We have 19 points from 11 games. If we maintain that same level across the season we would end the season with 79 points.
As a point of reference the amount of points needed to reach the play offs in the last 10 seasons has been: 70, 75, 75, 68, 72, 78, 74, 80, 75 and 74 (average 74)
If we can maintain our current level of form we would therefore only have missed out on the play offs in one of the past 10 seasons
I'm sure a lot of fans expected Luke Amos to be a key player but he has only featured in 1 of the last 7 league games. Does that further improve our changes having him to still come into the side?
Ryan Manning and Ebere Eze are the only 2 players to start every league game, with Jordan Hugill the only other player with a record of appearing in all the league matches so far.
Victory against Blackburn was the first time Liam Kelly tasted league victory for QPR and the first time Bright Osayi-Samuel has been on the winning side since the opening day against Stoke.
Jan Mlakar has come off the bench 3 times and on each occasion we have won the game.
Shodipo came off the bench against Stoke on the opening day but hasn't been seen since.
Another player expected to play a big part this season was Man City loanee Matt Smith but he has only featured 4 times in 11 games.
