Wells doesn't score many goals and if its true that he is on £35k/week then it doesnt make any financial sense either.
I would much rather use some of the money that the club has received from our transfers of Freeman, Luongo, Smith and Furlong to invest in a young player like McKenna who is captain material and could make us even more money down the line.
The extortionate wages we have to pay to Wells is just a waste to the club.

If Hugill stays fit Mlakar will find it hard to get game time, never mind Wells.
He went downhill badly last season and by the end was hardly breaking into a sweat. The way he downed tools when the going gets tough does not bode well, we don't want that rubbing off on what looks like a very determined squad right now.
12 months ago he looked a good signing but not now. I went off him massively.
I too had my doubts but he’s been awesome so far this season
Must admit that I had doubts about Wells having a second bite at the cherry, but he is a different player this season. He seems more determined, tracking back to defend or recover possession, and scoring well of course! It is true though that the current strategy of playing the ball up suits him. Wells is not a player to outjump or retain long balls, but rather an opportunist who takes his chances moving into the box. Regarding the cost of his wages, I can only state that Lee Hoos does not waste money and would assume he did the best deal possible for all the new signings!
He’s always been a poacher and plays off other players Hugill and eze are also able to feed him scraps and that’s how he done it at Huddersfield and got many goals I’m very surprised at how well he’s doing looks far more composed than last season and hugill is great in the air so holds up play very well too to assist him Long may it continue as we needs goals if we can’t keep sheets What’s it matter if we win 1-0 or 4-2 a wins a win
