It looked an entirely predictable defeat against Brentford but more than half of the players (11) didn't see it coming! Of those who did predict our demise LurkR, Rosco Bosco and myself got the 3-1 for a big 6 points
A super call from SydneyR and singlespeed saw both nail Benrahma as first scorer whilst stoatey, Ghost, myself, LurkR, MaxQPR, surrey chad, ranger-boy, e17hoop, CutePR, QPRBex and MCM Hoop all got Watkins for a back up point. ashqpr and onenightfever get the back up point for picking Wells
12 players got the 16-30 first goal time - qprallan, qprcammitch, Ghost, SydneyR, Rosco Bosco, MaxQPR, QPRBex, e17hoop, MCM Hoop, surrey chad, ranger-boy and kingfisher
Stoke and Millwall drew 0-0 in the bonus match so only single points were picked up.
The top scorer was Rosco Bosco with 10 points but it was a big scoring week overall with 2 players on 9, 3 on 8 and 3 on 7. Those 10 points for Rosco Bosco put him back on top after he dropped from the summit on New Years Day. It remains tight though with just 4 points between the top 4 in the battle for the big bonuses ahead of Phase 3.
At the other end of Division 1 kingfisher hasn't scored more than 4 in this phase and is now 14 points from safety with 3 games left to avoid relegation. I move ahead of QPRBex but despite scoring 8 actually end up a point further away from safety (5) as those who were just ahead of the drop zone scored just as big! It was a bad week for stoatey who drops from level 2nd to 7th and to perhaps danger of the drop.
It was perhaps a vital week in Division 2 in settling who will take the promotion places. It was incredibly close a few weeks ago but now the top 3 have pulled away. singlespeed got his highest score of the season with 9 points and that moves him up to top spot but crucially 13 points clear of 4th placed MaxQPR. e17hoop drops to 2nd but is 9 clear of MaxQPR whilst ranger-boy in 3rd has doubled his cushion to 6 points. It means the 3 players relegated in Phase 1 could all head straight back up which would be the first time that has happened.
At the bottom despite only getting 1 point CutePR moves out of the negative point zone as minxymartin was the only player who failed to score. Below them onenightfever has back to back 5 points so it closing in on 'safety'.
