Well it is the Monday after the Saturday before and, whilst I have yet to see the full 90 mins on video, I feel we could at least have drawn with Bristol City.... Anyway, onto another challenge! On Saturday we travel northwards and I expect those up north will relish the opportunity to see the Rs up against a team that had a slow start, possibly caused by relegation blues. Now Huddersfield are putting together the sort of results we have come to expect of them, and it should be a tough game. Out of interest, Warburton has explained his thinking on the solitary addition to our squad over the transfer period (whilst 5 departed) in: www.kilburntimes.co.uk/sport/football/queens-park-rangers/squad-size-not-concern-for-mark-warburton-qpr-boss-reveals-why-no-deadline-day-signings-1-6494568
My concern was valid: Cameron is suspended, whilst neither Rangel or Barbet are match-fit, so we are left with Hall & Masterson as the only two CBs at 100%. OK, Ball or Wallace could cover if need be there, but I still felt it was worth Leistner being retained to free up Hall to cover Cameron's role in DM. Ball, against some sides this season has been great, but it has to be said that his passing does not match up to his tackling/ball-handling/positioning/energy. Still, we have what we have for this interim season and onto the team selection/guess:
Kelly
Rangel Hall Masteron Wallace
BOS Ball Amos Eze Chair
Hugill
I have included Rangel because, although Kane has been superb going forward, I feel we are still vulnerable on that side with Kane's 'stand-off' defending; and I just hope Rangel is OK. Up front I would definitely not play Eze on the wing and rather play him behind Hugill to pick up the back-passes and distribute the ball or have a go! I have selected Chair, based upon his energy and Eze-like ability to disrupt a defence, but I do wonder if Warburton will give Clarke another go. Anyway, it is now your turn!
