The BBC are reporting that Tony Fernandes has stepped aside as the chief executive of AirAsia while authorities probe bribery claims.
Both Fernandes and chairman Kamarudin Meranun said they will step aside while authorities investigate allegations Airbus paid a bribe of $50m to AirAsia.
Hmmmm....if that is proven it makes his position as part-owner of QPR at least questionable. We may have criticised his rashness, such as his tweets and his attempt to spend our way out of relegation from the Premiership, but at least he is an owner who cares about the club - not like the Glaziers!

I am not a fan of TF and I do agree that if found guilty his position at QPR is questionable. What I would say however, is that it's very important we keep an open mind in respect of whether his company took bribes until the judicial process has been decided upon.
We agree on so many things but I struggle with your comment that he 'cares about the club' . Maybe he does care but he has certainly mismanaged the club.

Not arguing about TF mismanaging the club stoatey, hence my comments above, but at least he has not picked the teams - unlike some owners! However, you are right to mention that this bribery charge is subject to due legal process, so innocent until proven guilty. One thing, is the court case going to be in Malaysia? I ask because I am not convinced their judiciary is impartial, so that throws a curved ball into play....

That's a very good point about the court case kingfisher,. It would appear that TF is standing down to facilitate a probe by Malaysian authorities who are looking into allegations that European aerospace giant Airbus paid the company $50 million to secure a plane order.
Reports said Britain's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) probing the corruption charges allegedly implicated two executives of AirAsia as the probe widened.
AirAsia has been pulled into investigations which have seen European planemaker Airbus fined a record €3.6 billion ($4 billion or £3 billion) to settle the corruption probe by authorities in France, Britain and the United States.
The airline's board formed a committee to review the allegations and said both men would stand down "for a period of two months or such other period that the company may deem fit."
It seems that so many countries are involved In the investigation it could be anywhere although I would assume because Air Asia are being investigated by the Malaysian authorities it would be there. I suspect that its all about jurisdiction and the British SFO have to pass over their information to the Malaysian SFO for them to investigate.
