And so we are in to the final phase of the season. Match 31 against Huddersfield was match 1 of 16 in this slightly longer phase to decide who is champion this season and who will be getting the wooden spoons!
Well done to ranger-boy for picking the 2-0 defeat with an exact score. Nobody else got it exact and perhaps surprisingly all huge group of players - kingfisher, ashqpr, e17hoop, LurkR, QPRBex, surrey chad, MaxQPR, SydneyR, minxymartin, qprcammitch and CutePR - all failed to predict QPR would lose
Nobody got Kachunga as first scorer but stoatey and myself picked Mounie for a back up point
ranger-boy was the only player to pick the 46-60 first goal time and the only player to exactly predict Forest would beat Leeds 2-0 in a superb day of predicting.
So whilst nobody else scored more than 5 ranger-boy bagged himself 12 points - not only his first double point score of this season but his biggest score since a 13 on the last day 2 seasons ago. It gives him the perfect start to life in the top flight, instantly nullifying the impact of bonus points for those who were already in Division 1. He sits 2nd behind Ghost who interestingly has only been top after 6 matches so far but has ended both previous phases at the top. Peaking at the right time!
e17hoop failed to score so starts his life after promotion sitting bottom of Division 1. SydneyR was the only other top tier player who failed to score and he is 2nd bottom. singlespeed gets himself out of the drop zone with 4 points to make a solid start to his time in Division 1.
In Division 2 ashqpr has his 10 bonus points from winning the League Cup applied and they put him top. After relegation I scored 5 to sit 2nd whilst onenightfever - who is on a decent run of 29 points in 6 games - is 3rd on 4 points. Nobody else in Division 2 scored.
QPRBex and qprcammitch have both scored zero for 3 matches in a row for the first time this season.
Remember only 2 player go up and down automatically at the end of the season. The player finishing 9th in Division and the 3 coming 3rd to 5th in Division 2 enter play offs to see who takes the final place in Division 1 ahead of next season.#
Don't forget we play again on TUESDAY!!
