I think it's the general feeling on here That last night can not be justified It was shambolic and Brentford fans must of been laughing all night at our expense Holloway sometimes baffles me if I'm honest
Disgusting and disgusted. Holloway needs to take a good look at himself. It's the height of arrogance that we would field such a side. Every year it annoys me and this is no different. Sure have some fresh faces on board but a whole bloody team?
I'm still positive about the season - but our attitude to cup football stinks. We won't get any better if we continue to show disrespect.
This.
I'd like us, just for 1 season, to have a cup run and get a bit excited.
People have been questioning why we only sold 8,000 tickets...it is clear why... We've turned up and seen this story in the cup for 25 years plus!
While I found last nights performance very disappointing, I don't think we can put all the blame on Holloway. This has been the case for many years for the League Cup. This can not be a surprise to anyone.
What I find sad is if the player did not try, but we do not know what instructions they where given. Where they told to make sure we lost the match.
Its not a good advert, but we do not know what was said to the players. Go out there and treat it as a pre season - just don't win it? We just don't know, and will never know.
I think the big question is, as I read on the BBC there was something like 200 different players picked for teams compared to the weekend matches. So the big question is why do teams not want to play in the cup. What can the FA do to make it more attractive to the teams.
Well at least we know now We have no strength in depth at all We are reliant especially in defence on the first team It's always the way 2 steps forwards 3 steps back,we will never learn, yes we should rest players and the old pun concentrating on the league They should at least attempt to turn up and make an effort for the home fans
Exactly my thoughts! So of particular concern now, with Perch out long-term, is that Furlong only has realistically the Chief as cover at RB; and the CB cover seems equally bad. Baptiste looked good against Hull, but then again he had good support from Bidwell & Perch and Onuoha was always there to cover. We just do not have strength in depth. So perhaps Ollie is right not to treat the cup competitions too seriously because we do not seem to have sufficient quality to cover league games - unlike Brentford...?
We would have been at home to Norwich. A real chance to get to the last 16 without playing a Premier League team missed.
No we wouldn't be home to them. The teams were in alphabetical number against ball number so we would've been number 24 (instead of Forest) and away to Chelsea if I worked it out right

Well we missed out on a great tie then.
Either way I wish we'd give the cup a chance just for once.
