Hoops & Dreams : 3 Years Old Today

And so another year has ticked by and we mark 3 years since Hoops & Dreams opened following our move from QPRnet when it closed.
First and foremost I hope you and your families and friends are all safe and well.
Of course it has been a strange year with the 2019/20 season still unfinished. Usually I’d provide an update on who has won our Prediction Competitions. Instead we are waiting for the action to return so we can pick up where we left off!
All I would say is please stick with us... we will be back and raring to go when QPR return; so get ready to share your views and enter your predictions which will be coming thick and fast!!
Here are the annual Hoops & Dreams stats I provide:
We had 536,266 site impressions, which is an increase of 200,000 on the year before, taking us to 1,179,260 over the 3 years. Hopefully we can keep building on that once things get back to normal.
We had 6656 posts in 438 threads. We actually posted our busiest ever quarter from November 2019 to February 2020 with over 2200 posts. That has been followed by our quietest ever quarter with just over 1000 posts in the past 3 months when of course there has been no football and no predictions to make!
We welcomed 40 new members to the site
The top 5 posters of our 3rd year were the same 5 names as last year but in a different order:
1) stoatey = 1070 posts (up 2 places)
2) kingfisher = 1000 posts
3) @singlespeed = 991 posts (down 2 places)
4) Ghost = 309 posts (up 1 place)
5) surrey chad = 208 posts (down 1 place)
So for the first time stoatey is our top poster for the year! kingfisher was top in year 1 and singlespeed in year 2.
kingfisher remains the top poster overall across the 3 years on 2938 posts. singlespeed is 2nd on 2822 and stoatey is 3rd on 2436.
I don't count myself as I have to post a lot of threads for prediction competitions and results etc, but for those interested I had 1366 posts.
As I mentioned all of our Prediction Competitions will carry on exactly where they left off and it sounds like this will be on 20 June so get ready for that and hopefully some normality will return to the site!
Before the lockdown LurkR was leading the way in the QPR Prediction league as he chased back to back titles. We also had the FA Cup knockout to conclude, with the semi finals the next stage when the FA Cup does return.
Win, Lose & Draw was halted in the middle of an incredible battle. kingfisher was top but just 1 point covered the top 4!
Our inaugural season of The Lone Ranger had seen 13 players eliminated and 8 left in the game. QPRBex was the front runner with 7 rounds left to play!
