QPR bounced back from defeat with a 1-1 draw at Luton which was expertly predicted by QPRBex, LurkR and MaxQPR! SydneyR also went for a draw.
For the first time in quite a while we had a first scorer in Collins that a lot players managed to predict; stoatey, QPRBex, myself, e17hoop, Ghost, ranger-boy, CutePR, singlespeed and MCM Hoop all got him!
kingfisher, QPRBex, Ghost, SydneyR, MaxQPR, LurkR and qprallan got the 16-30 first goal time
qprallan, myself, QPRBex, minxymartin and Rosco Bosco got Cardiff's 2-1 win in the bonus match exact
QPRBex's name was in every category there and that is because he got a very rare maximum 18 points - the first 18 point score we've seen in over 2 years since Ghost managed it to sneak the title in 2017/18! Absolutely sensational and what a way to bounce back from missing out on the 10 bonus points from the FA Cup final! We've had a couple of 15 and 16 scores over the past 2 seasons but 18's really need to be appreciated and applauded!
I've had a check back and as we near the end of the 8th season we've run this game it is only the FIFTH maximum we've had! To get the match score, scorer, goal time and bonus match all together is nigh on impossible so again, well done QPRBex!!
Those 18 points move QPRBex up to 2nd in Division 2. ashqpr missed his first match in over 2 seasons and it couldn't have been more costly as he drops out of the automatic promotion places. At the top CutePR has a 21 point cushion over 3rd and QPRBex is now 8 clear of ashqpr and kingfisher in the race for promotion.
At the other end of Division 2 MaxQPR did well with 9 points to move out of the bottom 3 ahead of the absent trio of QPRsmith, qprcammitch and onenightfever.
In Division 1 LurkR moved 14 points clear at the weekend with his cup win and now he is 16 clear by scoring 9 points. Ghost scored 9 and may have hoped to close the gap but at least he moves up 2 places to 2nd. e17hoop scored a solid 7 but somehow loses ground and drops to 3rd on goal difference. MCM Hoop and Rosco Bosco are 5 points off the medal places. It is going to take some incredible scoring to prevent LurkR retaining his title now!
surrey chad was absent and looks doomed to relegation. ranger-boy scored 6 but so did the 4 players ahead so he remains 8 points from safety and the group of SydneyR, qprallan, stoatey and singlespeed are all covered by just 3 points in the bid to avoid the relegation play off place.
Just 2 games to go and then the play offs will follow quickly after based on the championship play offs themselves.
