Why are we so scared of playing the youngster's. Keeping them back will only infuriate them. And then they start to get itchy feet. Have we learnt nothing since STERLING and more recently BOWLER.
I dont think we are scared but we have better options currently. I would of thought that if a youngster can impress sufficiently in training or gets a chance because of injuries and they impress then they would play.

We are doing far better than we were a few years ago.
We played Chair from the start in the cup, Manning is breaking through, Furlong is a permanent fixture in the match day squad and the average age of the squad overall is lower.
A few years ago we had a team full of ageing players and the youth players were a million miles away from the first team picture.
Plus we have a better record recently of getting the young players a good loan placement to aid their development.
Eze has got a great loan deal today going to Wycombe until January. A loan in a lower league will be fantastic for him.

That's true look at Doughty, Gladwin, Furlong, Furlong is hardly first team regular. Manning seems to have been forgotten. The future is now play them.

Would you play Manning ahead of Scowen, Luongo or Freeman?
We can't just play youngsters for the sake of it. Going by that mantra why not play Lumley ahead of Smithies just because he is a "youngster".
If they are good enough I'm sure they would be playing. Most youth players who leave us disappear or at best still never end up ahead of where QPR are.
Luongo has completed more passes and made more tackles than any other player in the team and is one of the best the Championship. To play Manning ahead of him would be madness. Scowen has been excellent - doing the Hall role but ith better passing.
Sterling left us before we even knew we had him so seems unfair to mention him as someone we should of been playing in the first team when we had him. Likewise Bowler played one game and is now in the Everton youth set up. If he flops then everyone will say what good business it was by QPR.
As NW says, If they where good enough to be in the first 11 they would be. I personally think we are doing a good job giving youngsters and chance and what we have done has either made us a bit of money back or put them in the window for a loan move that suits us and the player.
Noticed no mention of Max Ehmer, Jamie Sendles-White, Michael Harriman, Aaron Lennox, Jordan Gibbons, Bruno Andrade, Mo Shariff, James Haran, Frankie Sutherland, Aaron Mitchell, Sam Magri, Angelo Balanta, Troy Hewitt...
The list is endless as to why we shouldn't just go with youth.
