If he definitely never intends to sign a new deal and instead we can get some money for him we may as well sell.
Especially if we only intend to keep playing him on the right wing which doesn't really suit him.
I agree.
After the fiasco with BOS you'd have thought we'd have learnt our lesson and sold him 12 months ago. Whilst we have to give the new CEO some time it's clear that the lack of a strategy by Hoos and the owners has left us in a position where the players and their agents can take advantage. We should also be looking to sell Field before he joins Willock as a free agent.

Gulp! I agree about letting Chris Willock dictate (rather than the club controlling its investment in him), but sell Sam Field? If we had a suitable replacement that would be OK, but who is there now who can fill his boots...?
Scenario we have now Players are looking at the real possibility of playing league one football next season and some will jump at the chance to get out if a offer was put in for them We will want to get any high earners out in advance It’s grim but we are staring at lower level of football next season and it must be a nightmare trying to keep players to stay and to sign anyone right now

I think it's the same with any of our players at the moment, if an offer comes in then it has to be seriously considered because the team has to be rebuilt. Marti has to be given funds to build his own team and if that means selling our better players in this window then it's not ideal but I'd understand.
In respect of Field there was a time when I thought he was a key player but when we needed him to step up he's started to become a liability and his booking on Sunday has now led to his 10th yellow and a ban. I'd imagine that Dixon Bonner will come in and take his place. I might be clutching at straws but whilst EDB isn't as good a defender as Field he is better going forward.
