A weekend of crazy results shows just how hard this game can be. Even matches where the outcomes are too obvious to include in this game seem to provide surprises more often than not this season.
The one that had the biggest impact on this game was Brentford giving up a comfortable 2-0 half time lead to lose 4-2 to Preston. 11 of us had this as our banker home win.
So thank heavens for Nottingham Forest, the gift that keeps giving. Big spenders and a big squad but no points after 4 games. And 7 of you predicted their latest loss to Bristol City: kensalr, minxymartin, stoatey, kingfisher, Rosco Bosco, jortja and jimjams.
Other than that, points were hard to come by. 6 players got points for a draw. stoatey, ranger-boy and I got Rotherham v Huddersfield. northwesthoop, MCM Hoop and SydneyR got Stoke v Birmingham.
6 got points for a home win too. qprallan, kingfisher and QPRBex got Swansea's win over Millwall. northwesthoop and jimjams got Middlesbrough's win over Barnsley. And CutePR got Reading's win over Watford - this was the most predicted game of the round with 13 predictions but only CutePR predicted a Reading win.
Top scorers with 5 points were northwesthoop, jimjams and kingfisher. stoatey scored 4. No-one else managed more than one correct prediction.
This means that northwesthoop jumps above qprallan to lead the table with an impressive 18 points. qprallan drops to 2nd on 16. stoatey & jimjams are 3rd & 4th on 14 points. Below that it is very bunched with only 3 points separating 5th and 15th.
We now have a week off for the international break but weeks 5 and 6 are on the board ready for your predictions.
