QPR Prediction Cup - League Cup 2020/21 - R1 Leg 2 Results

Round 1 was split into 2 legs this year with the top 8 scorers going through to the Quarter Finals. It was an incredibly low scoring Leg 1 so let's see how Leg 2 panned out...
Match 1 was 0-0 between Man Utd and Chelsea so the only points available were to those who went for a draw; stoatey, Ghost, CutePR and QPRBex all get 3 points
Leicester beat Arsenal 1-0 in Match 2 which nobody predicted, but well done to kingfisher and ranger-boy for getting Vardy as first scorer. Nobody got the late first goal time.
On to Match 3 where Southampton stunned Everton - only LurkR predicted a Saints win for 3 points.
Rosco Bosco, e17hoop, Ghost, MCM Hoop and SydneyR got the 16-30 first goal time
Nobody predicted a Leeds win in Match 4 so that was the end of the scoring, which was again sparse!
There were a whopping 21 bookings (19 yellow, 1 red) in the 4 matches, so everybody had a poor goal difference. The players who didn't enter get the equal worst goal difference for the round applied (14)
Players are sorted by total score for Legs 1 and 2 combined, then goal difference for Leg 2, then total goal difference, then how many first scorer and exact scores they got correct.
That means that ranger-boy , who missed Leg 1, somehow makes it through with 6 points, thanks to goal difference and having got a first scorer correct. MaxQPR still makes it through by the skin of this teeth despite missing Leg 2, ahead of ashqpr on goal difference.
Everybody is pretty lucky to get through to be honest, with nobody scoring more than 10 out of 92 across both legs!
Spare a thought for minxymartin and I, who entered both legs and scored zero out of 92!

The Quarter Finals are back to the usual format with the remaining 8 players going head to head again. The player ranked 1st plays the player who came 8th, the player who came 2nd plays 7th and so on. This is the same pre-set draw order as previous cups.
That leaves us with the following Quarter Final line up with 8 players still in with a chance of getting 10 bonus points for the QPR Prediction League:
Tie 1: kingfisher Vs MaxQPR
Tie 2: MCM Hoop Vs LurkR
Tie 3: CutePR Vs ranger-boy
Tie 4: QPRBex Vs Ghost
It is the first ever time MCM Hoop has made it to the quarter finals of any cup and the first time ranger-boy has made it past Round 2 since our original trial cup over 2 years ago
The points all reset to zero. Leg 1/2 score and previous goal difference only come into play going forward if there is no separating the players in the next round.
The Quarter Finals will be before the international break the weekend after next, based on another 4 premier league matches to bring us back up to date.
