It was the penultimate round of Phase 1 with points in demand across the divisions with absolutely nothing decided yet!
Well done to kingfisher, CutePR, Rosco Bosco and QPRBex for predicting Brentford's 2-1 win bang on the money. Only woodork, e17hoop and SydneyR didn't predict the R's demise.
Nobody had Janelt as first scorer, but only qprallan and e17hoop didn't have Toney or Dykes for a back up point
stoatey, ashqpr, LurkR, surrey chad, e17hoop, ranger-boy and myself had the early 0-15 first goal time
Only minxymartin got a single point for predicting Huddersfield would beat Middlesbrough.
We had 10 players all equal top scorers this round with a solid 7 points
That has made a big difference in the battle to avoid the drop from Division 1. Last weekend e17hoop moved out of the bottom 3, but since then stoatey has picked up 14 points and CutePR 11 to leave e17hoop as the favourite for the drop now with a 6 point gap to safety to recover in just 1 match. Ghost is also very much in the fight to avoid the drop for the first ever time sitting just 3 points above stoatey, who is 1 point behind CutePR in a tense battle.
At the top MCM Hoop has again seen his lead cut - LurkR moves above qprallan into 2nd and MCM Hoop is now only 4 points clear as he aims to top a phase and bag the maximum 10 bonus points for the first ever time.
In Division 2 minxymartin stays top but now only above ranger-boy on goal difference. Both have a 7 point lead over 4th place and look set for promotion. For minxymartin it would be a first ever promotion but for ranger-boy it would be the 5th phase in a row he's either gone up or down!
I've scored 17 points in 2 games and gone from bottom 3 to just 3 points behind MaxQPR in whats looks to be the battle to secure the final promotion place. Incredibly we then have 4 players (onenightfever, surrey chad, jalfrezi and kingfisher) all just 1 point behind so literally who goes up is anybody's guess but MaxQPR has it in his hands to also move into the top tier for the first ever time! With MaxQPR having a superior goal difference that can't be caught in 1 match he effectively has a 4 point cushion.
