After playing 16 games in the 2012-13 Premiership our record read W0 D6 L9, PTS 6, GD -16 and this was the longest start to a top flight season without a win for any club. In our 17th game we managed a win against local rivals Fulham.

Sheffield United have now taken that much unwanted record by today losing their 17th game of the 2020/21 season against Palace. Their record now reads W0 D2 L15, PTS 2, GD -21 and it could get worse.

I commiserate with all those Blades fans but it's a record Im sure we are glad to hand over.

Indeed, very happy to see that record go.

Only having 2 points from 17 games is some going at any level. Utterly woeful from Sheffield United. You'd think by the law of averages/dodgy decisions/flukes that a team would get at couple more draws in 17 games.

I have to agree with you stoatey that professional sports, whether spectators attend or not, should be treated as non-essential work and stopped - especially when you consider the stupid behaviour of some players over Christmas. I am pretty sure the reason sports can continue is because Boris is terrified of banning them, rather than sound scientific advice!

You are right to mention the stupid behaviour of some players over the Christmas and New Year period. What was even worse but no surprise was how the Premiership players clubs who transgressed Covid 19 rules said they would have a word and remind their players of their responsibilities whilst a couple of youth players caught doing the same thing at an EFL club were suspended.

One rule for someone worth millions and a different rule for those not worth a lot. What makes the whole situation worse is that Fulham are applying to get games postponed because of problems with Covid 19 yet their main striker was one of those out breaking lockdown rules and partying on New Years Eve.
