So we will be able to watch every midweek league game with sky. 600m deal with the football league. Something like 8.3 million for each club i guess but good news that we can watch the mighty R's abit more.
I agree I can see attendances falling with this. Football is now a middle class sport. Well according to the prices clubs charge. Maybe they will reduce prices for midweek TV games.
Speaking as someone who misses half of the season as abroad, this is a welcome addition to the already good live viewing on QPR's site. Selfish bit aside, I feel that the high cost of away tickets and the poor state of transport communications in England is already putting off fans from travelling. At least this way the club gets some extra revenue.
Well with all this extra revenue coming in then clubs will have no excuse to keep prices so high
It really is crazy that games away to sides like Wednesday & Leeds (as well as visiting fans coming to us!) have to pay more than they would if they went to a Premier League game, that more than anything else is what's driving fans of all clubs away
