Monday looms ever closer, so time to face the facts:
Watford LWWWD 3rd 47pts 12GD
QPR LDWWL 18th 27pts -8GD
Those are the hard facts, the grim reality of our situation, but are there any factors that could turn this from an obvious loss based upon that form? Well I can think of two mitigating factors - Charlie Austin (and its undoubted positive impact upon the squad) and the simple truth that in the Championship anything can (and does) happen!
Warburton will be acutely aware that Watford will want to use their speed on the break, probably not even bothering to engage ball-players until they cross the halfway line, so he will need to set up accordingly. Assuming he goes for a 3-5-2 (I would), then my choice would be:
Dieng
Dickie Cameron Barbet (Wallace & De Wijs are injured, otherwise I would have moved Cameron forward)
Kakay Ball Chair Thomas Willock (using Chair as the link between defence and attack)
Austin Dykes
