GK Jurgen Sommer (1 of our first ever million pound signings was terrible from Luton)
RB: Danny Simpson (prob gonna cause a bit of unrest on here as he didnt do that badly really but i expected a lot more)
LB: Christer Warren (when we signed him from bournemouth in late 90s he really did come with massive expectations not sure if he played more than 10 games for us...dont think he got injured either was just bobbins)
CB Johan Barbet (a little harsh? but to be fair i expected more was very happy when we signed him from that mob down the road that play in that bus stop)
CB Steven Caulker (OMG was i happy when we signed him little did i know about his baggage)
RM: Sean Wright-Phillips (was wanting Wayne Routledge when we signed him instead and i knew he wud be like he was for us so i didnt expect much more and he did get us that winner at the bridge but what a waste of money)
CM Ned Zelic (big time charlie from aussie was meant to be the next big thing we outmuscled Sheff Weds to get his signature think he played less than 10 games and back then was our most expensive signing 1.75 million for us was just a body on a football pitch think Sean Goss but slightly stronger looking)
CM Park (from man utd was our marquee signing and the signing that showed us to the world and my god was he done when he came)
LM Leon Jeanne (welsh kid came thru the youth ranks with massive reputation as possible world beater but he was basically a criminal that loved himself far too much had world at his feet messed it up massively)
CF Mark Hateley (he was immense for Glasgow Rangers when we signed him with some of Les Ferdinand money but was finnished when he signed for us shows the gulf in class english prem from scot)
CF Mike Sheron (still iked him but he was our record signing when we got him from stoke he was meant to be the final peice to a puzzle that would have got us back to premier league did ok in spells but end of day waste of money 2.75 million i think)
the above was a list of players we signed many moons ago that really excited me when we signed them but proved to be average at best
