The last match in the phase and everybody is desperate for points... and the boys throw up a 0-0 with points at a premium.
But it has had a MASSIVE impact and incredible drama!
MaxQPR - fighting for promotion - and qprallan - fighting to avoid the drop - both went for 0-0! That gives them both the 10 points that nil nil brings
stoatey, SydneyR, e17hoop, jalfrezi and Rosco Bosco also went for a draw
ashqpr and SydneyR got Barnsley's 2-0 win correct in Bonus Match 1 with other players getting a single point
MaxQPR pips e17hoop to promotion at the death by 3 points, and so will be in the top flight for the first ever time in Phase 3. As will onenightfever who didn't score tonight but romped to promotion in this phase overall
There was drama in the Division 1 relegation fight too....
qprallan got 11 points and leaps to safety having been 10th he ends up 6th!! ashqpr who was just outside the drop zone scored 3 points but minxymartin only got 1 point and so by ONE point minxymartin is relegated. His valiant fight in his first phase in Division 1 ends in a very unfortunate relegation. QPRBex failed to score so is also down, along with the already relegated surrey chad.
qprallan's best score since the opening day couldn't have come at a better time - he maintains his record of having never been relegated. And it is worth noting that Barnsley's second goal came in the 90th minute to make it 2-0 and that have ashqpr the 3 points that have saved him. Incredible.
ranger-boy was only safe by 3 points in the end above them too - nevertheless he stays in Division 1 for 2 consecutive phases for the first time - and stays in the same division for 2 phases in a row for only the second time in 3 seasons!
The rest of Division 1 saw Rosco Bosco pip LurkR to 4th so gets an extra bonus point for the start of Phase 3. The top 3 were unchanged with CutePR taking the big 10 bonus points ahead of MCM Hoop and Ghost.
Going back to Division 2 stoatey got out of the bottom 3 at the death, leaving me on negative points along with kingfisher and woodork. In a strange season my 51 points would have promoted me in 1st place in Phase 1 but see me start Phase 3 on -2 this time!!
What an amazing night of prediction league drama!

Commiserations to surrey chad, QPRBex and minxymartin who will have to spend Phase 3 trying to make it back to Division 1 for the start of next season.
