After a couple of weeks of low scores, we did better this week. A total of 45 points were scored - most of them coming from just 3 of the 10 matches.
There were 3 home wins. 7 players picked Southampton's win over Burnley, which looked rather unlikely when Burnley were 0-2 ahead. The other popular picks were Rotherham to beat Wycombe and Stoke to beat Millwall, both of which ended up as away wins. No-one got Coventry's win over Bristol City or Sheff Wed's 5-0 hammering of Cardiff.
There were 6 away wins. 6 people got Luton's defeat by Barnsley and 4 got Blackburn's loss to Bournemouth. The rest expected Middlesbrough to lose to Watford (they drew), Sheff Wed to lose to Cardiff (they won) or Coventry to lose to Bristol City (they won). So no-one predicted the other 4 away wins: Liverpool at Arsenal, West Ham at Wolves, Wycombe at Rotherham and Millwall at Stoke.
There was only one draw: Middlesbrough v Watford and only Rosco Bosco predicted it.
There were 5 joint top scorers this week with 5 points each. Well done Rosco Bosco, northwesthoop, ashqpr, qprallan and woodork.
All this means that there is no change at the very top of the table. Rosco Bosco remains 2 points ahead of northwesthoop. jalfrezi is up to 3rd on goal difference from jimjams.
CutePR is off the bottom. 3 points was enough for her to move ahead of kingfisher who failed to score and ranger-boy who forgot to enter. It's very tight down there with the bottom 4 separated by only 3 points.
