Site Update Summer 2021

As we end another season I thought I'd give the annual update on what is coming in the summer and what lies ahead next season

As I've said before please do keep checking in and keep posting. Even 1 or 2 lines here and there keep the conversation flowing and helps the site along.

• The QPR Prediction League will be back next season for the 10th instalment. The current season will conclude with the play offs this weekend. There will be a slight rule change next season regarding a bonus for the best goal difference across the season and I'm thinking of only running 1 cup based on the FA Cup rather than having 2 each year. This is because the League Cup starts early in the season and can often be missed by new players which then feels unfair
• Win, Lose & Draw goes from strength to strength and Ghost has kindly agreed to run it again next season. So we can all hopefully look forward to another 8 way battle for the title!
• The Lone Ranger has been superb again this season and will be back for a 3rd season. It will have 1 rule change with a 'draw' set to lose one life rather than half a life. This will make winning more important and make it that bit harder to see out the whole season, perhaps even leaving us with an actual Lone Ranger left standing!
• Dream R's Fantasy Football will be taking a year off next season. My wife is due to have our 2nd baby in September when it would be due to get underway and I simply won't have the time to run that next season. It is unfortunately by far the most time consuming game to set up - especially logging all the squads at the start which would coincide with when the baby is due. So it will just be taking a year off. It will, all being well, be back for 2022/23 and I'm hoping to rebrand it as Fantasy Rangers like it used to be on QPRnet
• I'm intending to put up a few interactive QPR Quizzes like we used to have through the summer so keep an eye out for them - the first one is coming later this week
• I'll run a Euro 2021 knockout prediction cup
• I'll keep a thread updated with all the new kits as they are released as we do each year
• The site will of course be the place to track all the QPR transfer rumours, so do share your opinions as we get linked with all the ins and outs!
• We'll have our annual 'place your bets' and 'league position' predictor games as the new season approaches
• Would anybody know how to/like to manage a Hoops & Dreams podcast or something like that? Perhaps monthly to review the previous month and look ahead to the next - with 4 members able to rotate each month who is taking part? Would we have users interesting in being involved in something like this?
