I'm a middle-aged Hoop who remembers looking over the balcony at my great-grandads flat and watching little men in blue and white run around on the pitch. That was it for me! My grandparents lived on a banjo in Bentworth Road until 88/89ish so whenever I visited from where I grew up, I would always try to get to HQ.....sometimes just to look at the floodlights or the stands. I'm that old that I can remember being on Holiday in August 1975 and demanding that we go back to the caravan as I didn't want to miss Match of the Day. Yes, it was the one with goal of the season against Liverpool!
I can be a fairly bitter person at times. For instance, there were many times when I would ask for a QPR shirt for Christmas. I thought that you could buy them on the Shepherds Bush Market! I never got one....however, all my brother had to do was ask one time for an Arse shirt and he got the green and blue away shirt. Not fair
In the 80's there were regular trips, by train, including memorably the 1986 League Cup Semi Final v Liverpool. The final was.....not so great!
I was drawn into this forum by tomcat75... We knew each other from the 606 boards from 15 years ago.
Anyway, I guess I'll catch you all on the different threads!

Welcome MangoOfQPR! Get stuck into the Prediction Games next season and meanwhile into the transfer rumours!!
Welcome Mango, quite a few of us are middle aged here so I'm sure you will fit in.
I remember the train trips to Liverpool in the late 80's and getting walked by the police from Lime street to the Stadium on one occasion, only time I have ever been abused by women and small children. Happy days!
