our last world cup semi finalist and possibly only one ever?
cant put him in my team ahead of David "most underrated right back of all time" Bardsley though
will put Gillard Thomas and Clement in too
will have to edit my original post
Kensair: not sure if Glenn Roeder ever played for england will have to look it up i apologise if im wrong
Edit: Roeder only played for england B team (outrageous he was a class act and theres been far worse played for england than him) never understood why Steve Bruce never played for england either him and Pallister both overlooked the majority of the time they were the best 2 centre backs in the country whilst at Man Utd
You have a great sub lineup but could you find space on the subs bench for Simon Stainrod. I seem to remember he was on the downunder tour along with John Gregory and Clive Allen.
One of the most skillful players were have had IMHO
i have heard many a fan say that Stainrod was amazing the same fans say Paul Goddard was too but Stainrod was just leaving us as i begun my adventure so didnt manage to see him play for us
i reckon he was from the same ilk as Johnny Byrne who was my fave forward for years until we signed Roy Wegerle and Les Ferdinand.
Same as Stainrod scenario a certain Clive Wilson who was a great great left back never played for england either just made no sense
