It appears that highlights and interviews will all be on there from later in the season, rather than on youtube and social media
Fans have to earn 'credits' by watching ads and sharing videos in order to then access further content (credits can also be purchased). Seems like a complicated step and a step in the wrong direction.
The Gillingham friendly is only available through recast.
The Man Utd and Leicester friendlies by the way are £8.99 as a package for both through QPR+
Update:
I've had a play about with the Recast site. You have to sign up but this is easy. You get 100 credits for creating an account. You can then build up credits basically by watching adverts, 50 credits a time, each one about 30secs-1min. It is easy to just click to view them and leave them playing whilst you go off. If you get to 500 credits you can basically watch the Gillingham friendly for free by using the credits. The other QPR videos are about 15-30 credits to watch (training videos, interviews etc). This is a clear indicator that all club content will soon only be on Recast. You cannot get it through the app store, you just access Recast through the web and can save a link on your home page if need be.

In the 17 days since I last posted above I've only had 2 new adverts appear. That will be the problem once the club move to all video content bring exclusively on recast - you will run out of credits and it will almost force fans to buy credits if they want to watch highlights and interviews etc. I hope it doesn't turn out that way, but the lack of adverts suggest free credits will run out. It also doesn't let you know when new adverts will be available. So you could think 'I'll just wait to watch that until i get some free credits'... but you could be waiting 2 weeks for an advert!! There is no countdown to when you'll next get an advert which would be handy.

Good first half. We dominated the play and its a really good run out. Chair is looking good, Dunne looks decent and apart from a good cross that flashed across the goal we haven't been troubled.
For all the good they do, they do have a habit of getting involved with some strange companies.
Recast says 'beta' and 'updates coming soon' on its website, which was the warning sign it wouldn't be able to handle the traffic.
The problem seems to be being unable to cope with the demand for their own streaming service! I wish I had seen your mention of YouTube as an alternative....

Well, after months of seemingly moving away from Recast, the club have confirmed all the friendlies this summer will only be available on Recast
The uptake and video views on Recast were low in the early part of last season, so in recent months there has been no mention of Recast at all and all the content from the club has been going on YouTube (which is obviously much, much better and more accessible)
The club has originally said all content would be going on Recast eventually, but seemingly moved well away from that and back to the old regime.
So why go back to Recast now? Last summer they struggled to stream the matches to the amount of people who wanted to watch, so why risk that happening again?
Why not just use QPR+ and save the messing around?

I am surprised they are going back for another attempt with Recast, and I would question the logic behind this. I found Recast clunky and slow, whereas QPR+ had worked their way through their problems and created a good product. I am disappointed at having to revert to Recast and can only hope I am pleasantly surprised...
