i went to watch QPR XI play Braintree at the weekend ( iwas passing thru and saw it was about to happen so i jumped out my car and had a look) went down like a shit sandwich with the mrs considering i was meant to be doing stuff in the house (i stayed til the final whistle but nearly left a few times especially in the first half when we looked like a load of schoolboys)
Sinclair Armstrong was head and shoulders above the rest of the XI that played and he took his goal very very well to me he looks like at some point THIS season he will get into the first team
The keeper that played for us made a string of fine saves in a 3-2 away win
we played poorly in 1st half but 2nd we cranked it up but Braintree made a lot of changes too
the kid that scored 2 goals for us (not Armstrong) his strike partner looked a world beater 2nd half but a liability 1st half but looked big and strong will try and find out what the team was at some point
the only 2 players i recognised apart from Armstrong was Todd Kane at right back that played the hole 90 minutes with a face like a smacked arse and Haamelainen who looked like he had found his level and although beaten many times by there decent right winger put in his best performance i had seen from him although he looks well out his depth in a QPR first team by what i saw on the day he looks a conference to league 2 player at best.
Oh and i think Joe Gubbins played about an hour he looked very average at centre back think he was the captain not sure (think it was Gubbins as i saw him play a few minutes first team in one of the league cup matches in 2018)
sorry i cant tell you more but it was a rush job i shouldnt have been there and i didnt know any of the players names thru lack of not having a programme if one even existed?? i got there and started watching 10 minutes late also
