QPR Prediction League 2021/22 - Match 1 - Results

Let me start by thanking everybody for playing once again, it always means a lot to see so many entries
A massive welcome to new players daveb and alanrangers whilst you will all be taking on NWH junior for the first time this season as NoahHoop joins the game!
It is a first full season for @tomcat75 who only joined in Phase 3 last season and Jalfrezi Rs is in the top flight for the first time, along with minxymartin and e17hoop who were promoted at the end of last season.
qprallan and LurkR are both starting life in the second tier for the first ever time after spending all of the last 3 seasons in Division 1 until relegation at the very end of last season. Rosco Bosco is also back in Division 2.
For 2021/22 I've renamed Division 1 "The Premier League" and Division 2 "The Championship" on the league table below, which also has a slightly new look for 2021/22!
CutePR starts the season as not only reigning champion but on a run of 21 matches in a row when she has picked up points, which is only 2 away from equalling e17hoop's record.
On with the results...
It was always going to be a low scoring round because everybody went for a QPR win and nobody had Jed Wallace as first scorer!
tomcat75, minxymartin, e17hoop, LurkR, daveb, surrey chad and stoatey had the 0-15 first goal time for 3 points
tomcat75 and minxymartin both also got 3 points for predicting Derby and Huddersfield would finish 1-1, as did kingfisher, Rosco Bosco, ashqpr and qprallan
So both tomcat75 and minxymartin top scored with 6 points. That puts each of them 3 points clear in the very early league tables! It is the first time that minxymartin has been top since Day 1 in 2015!
11 players scored zero and one of them was CutePR whose run of consecutive scores ends at 21 and e17hoop holds onto the record at 23!
onenightfever forgot to enter but didn't lose much ground and will hopefully be back next week.
As a reminder for everybody Phase 1 is 15 matches long - after which the bottom 3 in Division 1 are relegated, replaced by the top 3 in Division 2. The top 7 existing players in Division 1 get bonus points and the bottom 3 in Division 2 get a points penalty.
