Win, Lose & Draw - Week 1 - RESULTS

Welcome to the new season. We have 20 players this season, one more than our best over the last 3 years. If anyone else would like to join they'd be welcome too - and they haven't lost much ground in week 1.
It was a slow start to the season with only 10 players picking up any points at all and only one player, Rosco Bosco, getting 2 correct results.
There were 4 home wins in our ten matches but hardly anyone predicted any of them. ranger-boy got Blackburn's win over Swansea. daveb got Luton's win over Peterborough. No-one got Stoke's win or Coventry's. Instead, 11 of us went for Sheff Utd who actually lost to Birmingham.
There were 2 away wins. The only points were scored by Rosco Bosco for Preston's loss to Hull - surely the prediction of the week. Unsurprisingly no-one got Sheff Utd's loss to Birmingham.
That leaves 4 draws where we did a bit better. 4 got Derby v Huddersfield (stoatey, Tomcat75, Rosco Bosco & minxymartin). northwesthoop & qprallan got Fulham v Middlesbrough. MCM Hoop and I got Cardiff v Barnsley.
So our early leader is Rosco Bosco on 4 points (2 correct predictions but he didn't play his joker on either of them).
After that we have 3 players on 3 points (1 correct prediction with a bonus point for their joker). That's daveb, ranger-boy & Tomcat75.
6 of us have 2 points (1 correct prediction without the bonus point). The other 10 are yet to score.
So, a low scoring week to start with and very little between top & bottom. But it was good to see our new players, daveb & Tomcat75, off the mark straight away.
Week 2 is already up and includes a mix of Premier League and Championship matches.
