It was the highest scoring round of the season so far and Well done to Tomcat75, Jalfrezi Rs, MaxQPR, minxymartin and surrey chad who all predicted the 2-0 win for 6 points
Tomcat75 went one better getting Chair as first goal scorer too; the only player to do so
onenightfever, surrey chad, qprallan, kingfisher, ashqpr, Jalfrezi Rs, MaxQPR and MCM Hoop all got the 31-45 first goal time
LurkR, stoatey, woodork, Ghost, qprallan, e17hoop, Rosco Bosco, QPRBex and myself got 1-1 between Preston and Stoke in Bonus Match 1
Tomcat75 was the top scorer for the round with 12 points and that moves him up 5 places to the top of The Championship. We then have 5 players separated by just 2 points from 2nd to 6th in what looks set to be an epic promotion fight.
surrey chad has scored 23 points in 4 games and has moved from the bottom up to an outside bet for promotion! At the bottom qprallan got his best score of the season with 9 points and is now a lot closer to those above.
In the Premier League it was a great round for MaxQPR who doubles his lead at the top from 5 to 10 points and he looks odds on to get the 10 point bonus for the start of Phase 2. CutePR who was 2nd could only score 3 and drops to 4th, swapping places with Jalfrezi Rs.
At the bottom of the top flight the relegation scrap looks as epic as the promotion fight I mentioned earlier. There are just 5 points covering 6 players. ranger-boy was the only player who failed to score and he drops from 6th to 9th. onenightfever got 7 to keep in touch with those ahead. Back to back 7 point scores from MCM Hoop have come at just the right time and he is up to 6th as he looks to maintain his perfect record of never being relegated, but arguably anybody apart from MaxQPR could probably still end up getting relegated if there are some big scores.
singlespeed has joined the game and I am tracking his scores and goal difference but he won't be added to the table until the start of Phase 2. Unless he can outscore somebody in the remaining games he will start Phase 2 on -7 (the bottom 3 get -2, -4 and -6 respectively) so he has to start Phase 2 below them.
Just 5 games to go in Phase 1 to resolve who goes up and who goes down!
