It was a round that could have a big impact on who goes up and down at the end of Phase 1, with those who didn't score big really paying the price
QPR eventually overcame Preston 3-2 in a score that nobody predicted but 18 players did predict a QPR win
Ghost, Tomcat75, surrey chad, LurkR, daveb, onenightfever, NoahHoop and SydneyR all brilliantly got Dykes as first scorer for 6 big points. qprallan, QPRBex, MCM Hoop and Rosco Bosco had Chair whilst singlespeed had Jakobsen for a back up point
SydneyR, Ghost, Tomcat75, woodork, LurkR, QPRBex, onenightfever, ranger-boy and surrey chad had the 16-30 first goal time but only single points were picked up from Bonus Match 1
We had 6 players hit double figures, with Ghost, LurkR, onenightfever and SydneyR all equalling the top score for the season with 13 points, Tomcat75 getting back to back 12 points and surrey chad on 10!
MaxQPR had a pretty secure looking 10 point lead at the top but Ghost has recovered the whole deficit and is now top on goal difference owing to having a better highest score.
I always say that one big score can change everything and so it proves for onenightfever; after 2 matches at the bottom his 13 points take him up to 5th with nobody around scoring more than 4. Early pace setter e17hoop now falls into the drop zone for the first time this season with ranger-boy at the bottom.
In The Championship the 13 points for LurkR and SyndeyR moved them up to 2nd and 3rd, with Tomcat75 3 points clear at the top. daveb and surrey chad have kept in touch outside the promotion places but it was a terrible round for me as I drop from 2nd to 7th and now 11 points off the top 3! stoatey stays 6th but has also gone from 1 point from 3rd to 10.
Below is a reminder of how things shape up after Match 15 when Phase 1 ends and we move to Phase 2 - this time only 2 players are being relegated to expand the top flight to 11 players
