Yes, it is good...I agree that it's too much for young kids...I think out of fairness to your 13 year old you should not let your 16 year old watch either.

On the surface you could say that the violence isn't worse than other stuff but for me it's the nature of it that is very bleak and very disturbing.

It feels very real to me and because of that very shocking...I don't think kids need that in their lives...if they want scary excitement let them watch a really good horror movie...something with a montser...The Thing, Alien etc
