There were some fine margins as we ended Phase 1 of the season in the battle to avoid the drop from The Premier League...
Only onenightfever and CutePR predicted a draw but Tomcat75, qprallan, kingfisher, NoahHoop, ashqpr, onenightfever, LurkR and woodork all had Dykes as first scorer
woodork, e17hoop, MCM Hoop, LurkR, stoatey, Tomcat75, myself, Rosco Bosco, QPRBex and onenightfever had the 31-45 first goal time.
Nobody got more than a single point as Fulham beat West Brom 3-0
The top scorer was onenightfever with 12 points and he steals 3rd place and extra bonus points right at the death. Jalfrezi Rs was in the top 3 for the past 5 matches but drops to 5th and loses 2 bonus points in the process. Ghost only scored 2 points in the last 2 matches but MaxQPR could only match that so Ghost gets the big 10 bonus points.
At the bottom e17hoop and minxymartin are relegated at the first time of asking after promotion at the end of last season. For e17hoop it is a record equalling 3rd relegation. minxymartin was particualrly unlucky as he's only been relegated because ranger-boy had a better goal difference and had QPR held on for 1-0 he would have survived. MCM Hoop flirted with a first ever relegation for a while but ends up 7th.
In The Championship we knew Tomcat75 was up and in the end LurkR and stoatey are comfortably promoted too, well ahead of the chasing pack. LurkR had dropped to the second tier for the first ever time but doesn't hang around in getting back to the big time! stoatey is back in the Premier League for the first time in 12 months since Phase 1 last season.
qprallan had a terrible first ever phase in The Championship and gets -6 negative points. NoahHoop would have been promoted last season with 46 points but gets -4 for the start of Phase 2 and QPRBex will start on -2. singlespeed will be added on -7 having only got 21 points since he joined late on.
Phase 2 starts on WEDNESDAY!
