Senny Dieng and Illias Chair are rumored to be interesting several top flight clubs
and we have already earmarked the replacements if they leave for departures new
2 ex QPR players will rejoin
Alex Smithies 575k
and Luke Freeman (initially on loan)
Josh Windass is still a target of MWs and Bonne will be joining Ipswich on a full time basis for a fee believed to be exactly the same as we paid 2 million
good news?
with the signings of Smithies and Freeman they are both solid enough Freeman i would go as far as saying is a harder worker than Chair and will make us harder to beat defensively
but the extra pizzaz with Windass brings with him means i will be ok with these transfers happening
we will make a hefty profit as well as both Chair and Dieng will both be over 4 million with Dieng rumored to be 8 million plus and us only forking out 575k for smithies and 2.5 million on Windass and if Freemans loan goes well we wont be paying more for him than what we will get for Chair.
so 3.075 million being paid out and 14 million coming in

no brainer from me lets do this
The only thing I can see being true in all this is Ipswich wanting Bonne.
Can't see anybody in the top flight being after Seny as he's not been quite the same this season. Good and bad moments.
Ps. I'm going to rename this thread your January 2022 Transfer Window Rumours so you can add to it but can keep them all in one place
Have to say my first thought on the mention of Dieng was that his transfer value must have gone down this season - not up as we hoped? Chair, for me at least, is worth a minimum of £10m, but I cannot see any club in the January window recognising the difference he makes to a side. Smithies returning would be OK I guess, although I have been impressed by Archer. Freeman I can take or leave, as he failed to deliver when he left us and he may now not fit in with our style of play (think how hard it is for Thomas to fit in). (Although the bonus is that Freeman is left-footed and can divide defences with his runs.)
always liked freeman and would fit in fine to our current line up sell bonne for 1 million to ipswich smithies also is a damn good keeper and at the moment dieng looks very nervous in goal at times i can see us sellling dykes and chair and dykes would suit a club like burnley and the way they play or norwich chair for me watford all day long or arsenal i could see him going to
Freeman and Windass (who im constantly told) are almost definately gonna happen
Smithies was a good keeper for us was sad when he left
hes currently in a real low on confidence team Cardiff hes a cheap option for the board who will replace a hefty going out fee (dieng) its a no brainer makes the club some funds and in return we also get a competent keeper
Freeman for me is a strange one without doubt when at QPR he was our most dangerous and successful player with goals in him as well as an assist not to the extent of Eze but still i was surprised he didnt do well at other clubs.
whos the better player i ask myself Freeman back then or Chair now? you wont like the answer i find
Freeman (why not give him another chance? especially if its on loan?) the way Johansen is playing too he could slot in his position alongside Chair if Chair wasnt to leave

I think the problem will be that any move on Chair or Willock or ieng or Dickie happens too late in the transfer window and we are left struggling for a replacement So, having a wish list makes sense......
