Is Warburton heading towards a real selection headache?
With Amos and Field back in the picture he now effectively has 5 very good players competing for 2 places in central midfield.
Johansen is his captain
Dozzell has only tasted defeat once in his 15 QPR appearances so far, which is becoming a quite incredible stat.
Ball was heavily involved at the start of the season but has only made 2 sub appearances in the last 4 games and seems to have fallen to 5th place in this race for the 2 places in question.
Amos has done well as a sub but didn't make the most of his start against Blackpool
I personally feel that Field could be a massive player for us, but is he going to displace Johansen or Dozzell at this time?
Maybe he could play Johansen further forward and have 2 of the others behind, but realistically if they are fit Willock and Chair are rightly going to start every game.
It's great to have so many options in our squad, but Warburton could end up with some unhappy players around.
That's before we even consider George Thomas (not featured in any of the last 11 league games) and Stephen Duke-Mckenna (yet to feature in the league)!
As captain I believe Johansen is always going to be Warburtons first choice n central midfield unless of course he gets injured.
The 2 attacking midfielders pick themselves and have to be Chair and Willock.
The biggest headache for Warburton is who partners Johansen and for me it has to be Dozzell. It's about balance and Dozzell combined with Johansen complement each other.
Having Field and Amos now challenging for first team spots will keep the starting midfielders on their toes and they are ideal replacements to to replace tired or injured players. Ball is not as consistent as the others but he gives 100% and we know his limitations.

Dozzell when we want the attacking threat and Field when we need to be more defensive imo
Bearing on mind we are going to lose a couple of players in Jan for the African Cup of Nations potentially Chair and Dieng could be gone for 4 weeks. Can we cash in one one or two and buy some others to help fill the gaps?

That's a very good point surrey chad. I knew we were going to lose Dieng but totally forgot about Chair going with Morocco . They will both be a big miss and I presume that whilst Archer is the logical replacement for Dieng then probably Amos will be the replacement for Chair.
From a QPR and a selfish perspective I hope that Senegal and Morocco get knocked out early.

Exactly! There will be occasions when Warburton needs to curb his attacking side and recognise that defending the centre to protect the Back 3 is required. It may well be that Johansen could be flanked by Field & Ball in such a scenario - who knows!?
Perhaps even Ball isn't being used enough and maybe Austin has been getting more stick that he warrants - the fact is the team remains more successful with Austin in it.
defence sorted midfield sorted keepers sorted x 2 strikers (even with the 3 of the ones we have do u believe in them? painful for me to admit this but i dont think any of them have what it takes)
i love Charlie like the brother i never had but its quite clear MW has reservations on all 3
cant hurt us putting Sinclair Armstrong in the squad surely

The strikers are the 'elephant in the room' as far as MW is concerned methinks......
