Where do we need strengthening most?

We are only going to get loans, Les said as much at the fans forum.

We just need cover at the back. Priority would be somebody who can play right and left back.

If we get a centre back are they going to be happy to come in to sit on the bench? That is what they would be doing unless we get injuries.

If we didn't have so many injuries I don't think we'd need anybody in January to be honest.

We have loads of options in midfield and I don't feel we need a striker when you consider that we always have one (or two) of Austin, Gray and Dykes on the bench when they are all fit.

Has to be a left wing back for me. On the right we have found a more than adequate wing back in Albert and we normally have Odubajo or Kakay as last resort.

However, on the left we have McCallum who might have to return to Norwich if his injury doesnt improve and an even more injury prone player in Wallace. Whilst a loan deal would suffice in January it's going to be vital that we sign a permanent left wing back in the summer. Can't see Niko ever playing for us again so I would think that the club will try and offload him on a free in the summer.

As already identified by singlespeed my 2nd choice has to be a Centre Back with a bit of pace. 

im thinking MW is targetting a left footed defender like Barbet that can also operate left full back more comfy than Barbet can

i just hope he brings in a striker too

You've got to think that if we get another CB or Jordy was fit then Barbet would be the emergency LB...its a role he more suited to than anyone else

BTW...Nico has been in and out of an LA Galaxy team who seem to only lose or draw...I can't see him coming back into the team

even i could still get a game for LA Galaxy at 46

you cant put Niko into the same category as Kakay as Kakay is a far superior player(although like you say still limited) in a back 4 i would be happy with Ossie but in a back 3 with 2 wing backs not so confident

Ossie has a future as a pro footballer maybe his level is a league below in league 1 as for Niko i think he may actually be less than Conference standard at best  (ive seen equal or better in Ishtmian league if im honest) he could just about scrape league 2 LA Galaxy in my opinion is about same level as league 2/ Conference and this is where he currently finds himself not 100 per cent sure hows hes doing and little do i actually care for me and weve had many stinkers, Niko is possibly the worst player weve had in years. my dad and i both could not believe what we saw when we watched QPR sunderland many years ago when Roy Keane was manager of sunderland Niko played from the start at left back and left acres and i thought back then possibly 6-7 years ago that would be his last ever game for QPR and here he is still on the books? How?

Effort alone Kakay you see putting in a shift but for me and ive seen Niko many times looks completely lost cant defend or attack  and like i say surprises me hes still at the club and when i heard he signed a 4 year deal i thought it must have been a misprint.

As for Ball hes better than both yes at one point i too thought he was limited and in a lot of ways he is but i feel hes been very unlucky to find himself out of the starting XI i feel he offers more to the team than Dozzell, yes dozzell is a better footballer and definatley a better passer than Ball but for me Ball is what the team is missing at the minute and that is a presence and a bit of bite in a tackle every team needs one of these players and Ball is that man that can give us this hes sort of like what Marc Bircham was like under Holloway without the crazy hair.

Ball is a must to stay next season as he can operate in midfield and any position in the back 4.

if we are to compete however MW is going to have to pull some kind of rabbit out the bag this upcoming transfer window or like a few have said we could lose out on a play off position.

i think he will bring in 2 or 3 more 

at the start of the season i knew we were going to be strong and part of me believe it or not is a bit disapointed we are not actually higher in the division i actually thought we could make top 2 its a big ask but i still think if we do the right business in Jan we can still catch Bournemouth and get up as runner up behind Fulham.

the question is do i want us to go up? not really we are not ready for it but obviously i would like promotion just to defy the odds lest face it on our shoestring budget we should be bottom half of the table.

the job MW is doing should not be taken for granted he is an absolute monster of a manager and will no doubt find some more gems next season lets just hope he can find 2 or 3 in January and at least guide us to the play offs.

i would be happy with a play off final appearance and to lose last minute then go on and dominate the season after.
