I agree both goals were stoppable today And he’s ropey on free kicks Also doesn’t help that we don’t score many goals for us being reliant on him to keep clean sheets
All players make errors but when a goalkeeper makes an error they tend to lead to a goal being scored and that gets magnified. I don't have any issues with Marshall being in goal for the next month or so because he has saved us more times than he has let us down
Dunne has made a few errors in recent games and we just accept that these things happen because we know that in the majority of games he performs.
Marshall no worse than any championship keeper He’s pretty solid and also made some good saves And although he maybe could of done better on some goals the team also could of done better all round, the strikers could of done better in front of goal and so on

Whilst I accept that Marshall appeared to let the Blackburn goal slip through his fingers, for me that second Cardiff goal from the free kick was superb, so I am not surprised Marshall could not get to it. The first Cardiff goal had everyone (players and supporters) expecting the ref and/or linesman to stop the game because Dickie was fouled. That I think was the reason Marshall was unprepared for the shot. Finally, as we often point out to each other on this forum, goalies are often blamed for mistakes made further up the field that resulted in a successful attack!
Announced Monday 7th: Dieng out for another four weeks with the thigh injury, so Marshall will be between the sticks for a number of future matches too.
The media are suggesting that he's being offered a move back to Scotland to join Hibs.
You’d think it would make sense. Still has aspirations of being Scotland’s No. 1. If they qualify for the World Cup he’d need to be playing to dislodge Gordon
If the move to Hibs happens he will be back in contention for the Scotland Number 1 Jersey.
cant think of any better keepers than him in Scotland at the moment
maybe McGregr?
Hi judethespringbok and welcome to the Hoops and Dreams site.
If Dieng leaves us for pastures new I could see Jordan Archer becoming our No.1 and maybe he might also be a challenger for that Scottish goalkeeping jersey.
