That much is clear, but they should have got him a loan then so he can play. He's our own player who cost £1 million and we should be developing. To cast him aside for an older loan player isn't really in keeping with what the club is meant to be doing. We aren't exactly doing much for his confidence at the moment.

I'm not surprised that Ball is left out of the squad but as you suggest it's disappointing that Dozzell isn't there. I suppose that Warburton has to put both Hendrick and Gray on the bench because he would fear criticism from fans saying why did we bring them in if they are not good enough to be part of the squad.
Murphy is the U23 goalie who I thought we had sent out on loan to Stratford.
I guessed he was but nice to have the confirmation stoatey . It is the exact Starting XI I predicted and the best available I feel.

As both you and northwesthoop have said this is definitely the best team we currently have available. I think that Hendrick is a more attacking option than Dozzell and maybe that is why he has been included.

We tend to always make these slow starts to games and for some reason it takes us a while to settle into the game. Hopefully Johansen can get some control and start to boss the midfield.
